Day Two... on a Tuesday

Today is day two of conscientious  living. I got some pretty great sleep last night, which always helps. I did have some coffee this morning, but attempted to lessen the amount of creamer. After drinking the bitterness of the brew, I have decided that I think I would much rather drink tea or hot water with lemon in the morning. In the past, I did drink warm water and lemon in the morning and I loved it! I recommend  it for people like me that have a hard time drinking plain water, the flavor is just perfect.
I brought another protein shake for lunch today, and I am actually excited about drinking it. I'm not trying to plug any products, but I would like to say that the advocare protein drinks are really tasty, and much less chalky than others. Today, I am going to drink the iced lemon cake variety. I tried this flavor yesterday and liked it.
I forgot my peanut butter, so I might have to stop by the cafe and get some fruit. I absolutely love to snack, but for some reason when I typical and not over eat I find eating between meals tricky. When I began my life of yo-yo dieting many moons ago, there was a stigma about eating at all if you were trying to downsize your body. Now, however, I know that eating six small meals a day works best for me. I have said many times that I need to reassess my relationship with food... it is not a reward, or a reason to feel guilty... FOOD IS FUEL. There is also a sense of exploration when it comes to food, you can always try a new recipe (the main reason I have a pinterest).
I did well with exercise today also. I biked for 45 minutes and watched a show on Netflix. Along with my perspective regarding food, I'm also trying to be healthy when thinking about exercise. I do not need to punish my body, I need to celebrate it!
One more day down, the rest of my life to go!

Day One... AGAIN

It had been a while since I have taken the time to blog. It is my senior year in college, and for this past semester my lifelong fitness goals have taken the back burner to exams and homework. I have also been working overnight shifts, and it seems that I have given myself the excuse to eat whatever I want in order to stay awake. Last night, before I feel asleep, I thought of a time when I was the happiest. I was most happy when I was working full yime, going to school full time, and taking care of my body full time. I would move to find a joyful balance between all focus on fitness and no focus on fitness.
I made the goal that starting today, I would be more fitness concious. I made tea instead of coffee. I had a delicious oatmeal breakfast and packed a protein shake for lunch. I'm drinking 112 Oz of water, which is way more than I have in two months. My sister stopped by, and we completed a yoga session. Dinner wasn't  too healthy, but seeing as the bf is still recovering from his wisdom teeth extraction  soft, carb filled foods are still on the menu.
I know everything I need to do I order to be as healthy as I can, I just need to implement  the change at a constant rate. Today is day one, I will continue to document my journey here.
